Connect Business Central
Connect Dynamics 365 Business Central for your whole workspace. Sign in with Microsoft, choose the environment and company, and check access before you use it.
Before you start
- In Sadeh, you need to be a workspace owner or admin. Business Central is connected once for the whole workspace.
- In Microsoft, you need an account that can use Business Central. Sadeh asks for delegated access (
user_impersonation), so it sees only what that account can see. - If your company requires an administrator to approve new apps, ask your Microsoft administrator to approve Sadeh first. See Admin approval.
Step 1: Sign in with Microsoft
In Sadeh, open Integrations, find Dynamics 365 Business Central and click Connect. Click Sign in with Microsoft. Microsoft's sign-in opens in the same tab. Sign in, accept the permission, and you come back to Sadeh with the setup open at the next step.
Admin approval
Some organizations only let an administrator approve new apps. In that case, open For your Microsoft administrator and click Copy admin consent link. Send it to your Microsoft administrator. The link lets them approve Sadeh for your organization. When they're done, Microsoft sends them back to Sadeh. If they're signed in to Sadeh, they see Admin consent was recorded with Microsoft. If Sadeh asks them to sign in, they can close the tab, because Microsoft has already recorded the approval. Then click Sign in with Microsoft again.
Step 2: Choose the environment and company
| Field | What to choose |
|---|---|
| Environment | Production is your live company data. Choose a sandbox to try Sadeh first. |
| Company | The company Sadeh answers from. A workspace uses one company. |
If no environment appears, the Microsoft account has no Business Central licence or access. Ask your administrator to assign one.
Optional: stock per location and contract prices
Stock per location and customer contract prices need two pages published as OData web services in Business Central, on its Web Services page:
- Item Ledger Entries (page 38), default service name
ItemLedgerEntries - Price List Lines (page 7001), default service name
PriceListLines
If Business Central won't publish page 7001, your administrator can publish a simple custom page over the Price List Line table instead. Open Optional web services in the setup only if your administrator used different names.
Step 3: Check access
Click Check access. Sadeh checks Sign-in, Company, Customers, Items, Sales orders, Invoices and Purchase orders, plus the two optional services. The checks read at most one record of each kind and never write to Business Central.
- Ready to use: click Use this company.
- Connected with limited access: some required checks didn't pass, but you can still use it. Ask your administrator about items marked Permission needed or Read failed; Sadeh shows Business Central's own message for each. For other failed items, such as Couldn’t reach Business Central, click Check again shortly.
- Access could not be verified: sign-in or the company check failed, or Sadeh couldn't read any of Customers, Items, Sales orders, Invoices or Purchase orders. Check the account and company. If those passed, ask your administrator about the items marked Permission needed or Read failed. Then click Check again.
Optional items marked Not published never block the connection.
Finish the setup
Click Use this company before you close the setup. Until you do, Sadeh uses the first company it can see in Production.
After connecting
Sadeh shows Company saved. Sadeh now answers from it. with the environment, company and local currency. The card shows Team and Manage connection, where you can check access again or change the environment or company. Use Who can use it to choose Everyone, Admins & owners or Owners only.
Your team can then ask Sadeh about customers, items and stock, prices, open orders and quotes, purchase orders, invoices, balances and overdue receivables, and ask for document PDFs. Creating sales orders and quotes, and adding lines to a sales order, wait for approval, unless you chose Always allow for that kind of action. Sadeh can add lines only to an order that isn't released or pending approval in Business Central. To change quantities on existing lines, use Business Central. To add lines to a released order, reopen it in Business Central first. Emailing a quote to a customer is a sensitive action that needs a typed code, and uses Business Central's own document sending setup. The Invoice overdue Watchlist starts working once a company is chosen.
Early support
Sadeh's Business Central connection has been tested with simulated responses based on Microsoft's published API, not yet with a live Business Central company. Stock per location, contract prices, creating orders and quotes, emailing quotes and document PDFs may need adjusting for your setup. If an answer doesn't match what you see in Business Central, contact support@sadeh.ai.
