Sadeh on WhatsApp
Ask questions, send voice notes, set reminders and approve actions from the WhatsApp chat you already use.
Once you've paired WhatsApp, message Sadeh like you'd message a colleague. It answers from the tools you've connected, such as your calendar, CRM, ERP and email.
What you can send
| Send | What Sadeh does |
|---|---|
| Text | Answers it. If you send a few messages in a row, you get one answer. |
| Voice notes | Transcribes the recording and answers in English or Hebrew, following the language you spoke unless you picked one in Settings. |
| Photos | Reads the text in them, such as a receipt, a business card or a whiteboard. Add a caption to say what you need. |
| Files | Keeps files up to 20 MB for 7 days, so you can ask about them. After that, send the file again. Sadeh reads PDFs that contain text, and text or CSV files. Scanned PDFs and Office files are kept but not read. |
| Replies | Swipe to reply to one of Sadeh's messages and it uses that message as context. |
Sadeh can't use locations, contact cards, stickers or videos yet, and tells you so. Type an address or a name and number as text instead.
While Sadeh works, WhatsApp shows it typing. Long answers arrive as several messages.
Examples
- What's on my calendar today?
- What did we quote Northwind for the 330 ml line last time?
- Which emails am I forgetting to answer?
- What did I tell you about Cohen last week? (Sadeh searches your earlier chats.)
- Email Dana the updated price list. (You get a review card first. See Approvals and control.)
Reminders
Ask in plain words: "Remind me to call Dana tomorrow at 9." Sadeh confirms, and at that time the reminder arrives in the same chat. Reminders don't need approval.
- Ask "What reminders do I have?" to see them, or "Cancel the Dana reminder" to remove one.
- Times use your workspace's time zone.
- Set reminders on WhatsApp. The web chat can't send them to your phone.
The 24-hour rule
WhatsApp lets Sadeh start a normal chat message only within 24 hours of your last message to Sadeh. Reminders, reports and Watchlist alerts that come later wait in Activity instead, under Updates for you. If you choose Even when we're not chatting below, Sadeh can also send a short WhatsApp notice when it has an approved template for that update. Approval requests wait in Activity under Waiting for your approval.
Choose when Sadeh reaches you
Go to Settings, open the Preferences tab and find When should Sadeh reach you?
- While we're chatting: WhatsApp updates for 24 hours after your last message. After that, updates stay in Activity.
- Even when we're not chatting: WhatsApp notifications outside an active chat, when Sadeh has an approved WhatsApp message template for them. Otherwise the update stays in Activity.
- In the app only: proactive updates stay in Activity. You can still chat with Sadeh on WhatsApp.
To turn updates off from your phone, send STOP. You can still chat with Sadeh, and turn updates back on in Settings. STOP doesn't cancel a review card; use Cancel for that.
Reminders, automation reports, the daily digest, Watchlist alerts and notices about actions waiting for review are also saved in Activity, under Updates for you, including those that couldn't reach WhatsApp. The list shows your latest 50.
English or Hebrew
Sadeh answers in English or Hebrew, following the language you write or speak in. Other languages get English replies. If your workspace has Hebrew turned on, you can pick a fixed language under Settings, in Assistant language. It overrides the language of your messages. Review cards keep their field names in English.
Several workspaces
If you belong to more than one workspace that uses the same Sadeh number, choose which workspace each number opens under Settings → Channels → Manage connected phones, in Your WhatsApp workspaces. Until you choose, Sadeh asks you to pick one and doesn't act.
